To close out the tour of our West Bellevue Custom Home, we are looking at the exterior and landscape design, which sets the tone for this modern family home. Laurin McCrory of CedarMist Gardens designed and oversaw the installation of all hardscaping and landscaping for this project.
The home’s modern design was complimented by a trio of siding materials; tight knot cedar tongue and groove with a medium stain, smooth lap siding, and cement siding panels in complementary gray shades.
Black windows, doors, and light fixtures accent the siding choices. Layers of lighting include exterior wall sconces, path lighting, hardscape lighting, and recessed lighting at the entry and back patio.
The rear of the home is designed for entertaining with an outdoor kitchen featuring a sink, grill, and outdoor burner. The white brick cladding and leathered granite counter complement the exterior finishes and connect it visually to the interior.
A pass-through window from the kitchen connects the spaces for effortless hosting. The covered patio includes outdoor speakers and built-in heaters for year-round enjoyment. The paver patio offers even more space for warm weather gatherings.
Although sometimes delayed or ignored due to the many decisions and costs involved with building a custom home, we’ve seen firsthand the value that an experienced landscape architect brings to projects. Anytime clients build a new home or undertake a major remodel, we highly recommend utilizing a landscape architect to fully complement the finished home!
