Closing out the photo tour of our Education Hill Addition is the exterior! To see the interior of the home be sure to read our posts on the main level and upper & lower levels. This home originally featured a traditional exterior. Since the interior update leaned modern, the client wanted to continue the look outside.
After several iterations, we ended up with two-toned Hardie panel siding with cedar accents on the soffits and a few bump-outs. The client went with a dark blue and light gray color palette that complements the interior finishes. Black lighting, gutters, and doors also add to the crispness of the exterior.
Because the home is on a hill, significant grading and retaining walls were necessary on the far side of the home. The landscape designer did a fabulous job integrating the design seamlessly with existing hardscaping, new landscaping, and created an easy flow around the perimeter of the house.
The client previously enjoyed their spacious deck, so the remodel included a new, partially covered, composite deck. Grading and relocating the fence increased the footprint of the backyard as well. When the Nana Wall system is open, the family can enjoy seamless indoor-outdoor living.
It was a pleasure helping this client realize the dream home they had worked towards for years. We know they will enjoy it for years to come!
